Zach has spent 15 years in the health and safety field and is the principal of The Hansmann Group. He is also currently the contractor safety manager at Michigan State University and previously served as the Environmental Coordinator for the University, where he was responsible for campus-wide compliance with asbestos, lead, and other hazardous material requirements. He holds degrees from Michigan State University in Human Biology (BS) and Construction Management (MS), and is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in Planning, Design, and Construction, studying the owner’s involvement in construction safety.
